We Are Writers
we’re writers we’re supposed to be like artists the kind of people that argue the arrangement of words jockeying them into positions into shapes or forms or ... well i don't know then we take these monsters ride them around calling them ourselves battling each other on the pitch of literary pages looking for land where a book deal can grow unabated, fucking fenced in! but i'm a writer because i like to read how could i hate those fenced in deals they are where the trees grow and i may, for a moment climb them even at my age.

Great poem. Yes, we create with an eye to make some coin with it. But we first create, and do so as much, out of love for it - though we do want to be where things can grow.
